10 oz package of pecans (more if you really like pecans)
1 lb. finely chopped walnuts
2 giant size Hershey bars

2 1/2 c sugar
1/4 c white Karo syrup
1/2 c water
1 lb butter
Mix together in heavy pan #2 ingredients. Stir until it boils well on high. Turn to medium low to finish cooking. When it gets quite think, don't stir. It is done when it is the color of brown sugar, and when it is hard in cold water. If it is the least bit chewy it is not done.
Line a buttered 12 x 8" cookie sheet with pecans. Pour above mixture on top of pecans and cool. Melt a giant size Hershey bar and spread on top. Sprinkle with ground walnuts. When chocolate is hard, turn candy over as a unit and repeat chocolate and walnuts. When hard, break into bite-sized chunks.
